re: Turn signal problem solved
My gas guage works very accurately. Over the weekend I will post a video of it on you tube. and post the link. I don't think it is a power drain issue. I'd like to discuss more after those are interested watch the video.
The ammeter doesn't move under any other load conditions.

Well I'm at a loss. I replaced the loud relay with something closer to a stock one. Still the same problem.
re: Turn signal problem solved
That is not a Problem. I told you not to buy parts for normal operations.

Yes the blinker light does come on. The reason I'm being stubborn to "Kid's" suggestion is because the ammeter moves like second hand on a watch. tick tick tick. back and forth back and forth. I don't believe that indicative of a power drain.

And... the second relay only cost me $2.36 with tax. I can sell it on ebay for three times that plus shipping.
Thanks for taking the time guys.

I've been looking at the wire diagrams and there are MAJOR differance in the wire harness between if it has the idiot lights or full gauges... But there is a common terminal that is used for one or the other... I wonder if someone wired them together?
Here is what I'm referring too...
On this diagram for full gauges look at wires 654 and 655 for the amp meter http://www.fordification.com/images/sch ... gauges.jpg note the location of the “neutralâ€Â

Hmmmmmmmmmm.
I'll am going to look at this very closely. I was thinking about this last night and I don't think my ammeter is working at all. The needle is basically stationary in the middle of the guage whether the truck is on or off.

re: Turn signal problem solved
I need some more help. The flasher and the ammeter are wired into the same terminal which I believe is causing my problem but I don't know where or which terminal the blue wire for the flasher is supposed to be wired. Thunderfoot (thank you btw), you pointed to a 70 F350 diagram and I don't think that is the same for the 68 f100 and I can't find a diagram for the 68/69 that shows the wiring for the flasher. Here are some pics. I'd really love to solve this one.
