Ac unit removal -- what is the secret?

Post by SubRoc69 »

Ok I found 2 ac units in a local salvage yard (both in good shape, but after removing the 2 obvious bolts (ones at each end) I am stumped on what else holds it under the dash. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also what is the resell value for these units? I havent seen any on ebay?

Thanks

I'd like to know the answer to this also. I found 2 at a yard a couple of months back and did everything I could to remove them but couldn't.

In addition to the one on each end inside the cab, there are two bolts holding it to the firewall, using two of the same three holes used by the standard heater box. ;)

If you can find a buyer, these can get upwards of $100, depending on it's condition.
