need more info on factory installed rearview mirrors. is this original, or oem replacement? there are ford part nr's on the stalk pieces, but they don't look like what is posted in the "identifying" pages.

yeah.. that's stock... I got the same kind on my '68 CS.
There should also be another piece with a stud like thing with a ball that sticks on the windshield.

that's the one, but i'm having a heck of a time keeping it in adjustment. i took it off today and crunched it ever so lovingly in a vise to see if i could get it to cinch up and hold a little better.

yeah, if your just going looks good & functional, hit autozone up and get a new setup. you can get day/night that way and it wont move around on ya.
