Starter Safety Switch

Post by newdeal »

Has anybody ever got rid of the starter safety switch for the automatics and wired it directly? It looks pretty straight forward, but that's not always the case. It's just that it would be nice to start it in neutral some times.

:yt: Don't go bypassing the neutral safety switch! It's there for a reason...to keep you (or an innocent bystander) from getting killed. If yours isn't working, either fix or replace it.

And fordman is right...if the NSS is adjust correctly, you should be able to start it in neutral...hence the name. ;)

your truck should start in nuetral without bypassing anything. when people start bypassing stuff thats when the wiring start getting messed up iun these trucks anyway. for your peace of mind dont by pass it. it willbe easyier to work on later down the road if you leave it as its suppose to be. the decision is yours.
