Thats an A/C unit. there were no vents on the heater.
It comes out through your dash for defrost, or from the box itself.

right but if you open the fresh air vent on the passenger side you wont see much heat from the heater.

you have it upside down. . no seriously.
Looks good, but why is it on? you have brake problems too? That should only activate if something is tripping the switch for fluid imbalance in your brake system.

oh, i just asked another member if it should come on when the engine isnt on but the power is. The engine isnt on in the picture. i should turn it on and check though.
how did you know it was upside down? the picture is too blurry to see that, or am i just blind? my dad was installing it ( it is crazy hard to install) and it ended up upsidedown but its not worth reinstalling it the right way.

Yikes... me too! I guess I'll stick a new bulb in it and see what happens. Mine has never come on, so maybe the bulb (or the fuse?) is burned out. It sure would be nice for it to be working so I know if I have a problem.dbarker wrote:Thats good to know, i guess i should fix mine then I thought it only worked if there was a problem..
Does everyone else's come on when the key's turned but the engine isn't running? Can someone verify this applies to '67s as well?

Im a perfectionist and could never leave it that way, but i also understand the whole not worth it thing. Looks good, and noone will ever know without reading this, or looking really hard anyway.

youve probably seen this thread but its about the heater/ac unit i got and rebuilt and finally installed.
http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... &&start=15
about the brake warning light, mine stays on all the time even if the engine is on. what do i check? how do i fix?
about the tanks,
my dad hooked both tanks up and we filled one all the way and the other empty. we pressed the button in and the guage went from below E to above F . the guage is hooked up to both tanks and changes automatically with the push of the button. im so glad that works. it lights up to when its pushed in (which means its on incab tank).
sorry for the late update.

re: questions about my truck
The only function of that light is to warn you of a front-to-rear brake imbalance, usually caused by failed brake components. Once the problem has been corrected, you follow the instructions in that link to re-center the switch and get the light to go off.
