steering column threads

what size of die do i need to rerun the threads on the end of the column? mine are slightly messed up on the very end enough i cant get the nut to go back on straight.

it seems the threads are a 5/8 18. that is what the thread file lined up with. i got the nut back on without messing it up anyway.
