96 ranger column???
I know it's not a bump, but I need some info. My sister has a 96 ranger. When she parked it, the wheels were at full lock. When she went to restart, the ignition wouldn't turn. She tried to turn the wheel a bit to free up the steering wheel lock, and did. However, the actuator arm/arms to the ignition switch broke, between the lock cylinder and the switch. I have been able to remove the airbag, steering wheel, and ignition cylinder, but am unsure how to get to this linkage. It is a non-tilt column. The Ford dealership says that there are 2 arms, while the parts store says there are 3. Two are plastic, while the third, if there is a third, is metal. I replaced the two plastic ones with no luck. How do you get to the 3rd metal one? Don't really want to replace the column, just want to know how to take it apart.
