Tach & install?

Post by 04stangman »

Does anyone know what a good Tach would cost for my 69? And, how hard are they to install? I have never had much experience so any help would be nice thanks!

A tach is a tach, there are four wires that get hooked up and you need to mount it.

Wiring: Red = switched 12v, Black = ground, Green = coil negative or 'tach' output on a MSD, Blue = lights.

Yeah I've been meaning to put a tach on my truck for a while now, too. I'm just having a hard time finding one that looks good with the rest of the cab - I don't want some fugly modern gauge in there, I'd prefer something that looks 60s.
