My wipers weren't working at all. I sprayed the wiper arms down with WD-40 and they started working, but only intermittently. They'll make a few passes, then just stop. Usually in the full upright position, i.e. all the way to the left. They'll stay stuck for a while, then start going again. If i reach in through the radio opening I give the wiper arm a little help they start back up again.
I'm guessing that the wiper motor is probably on it's last legs. Does that sound right? Is there anything else I should check?
Will a motor from a '78 work in my '70?

i have only stripped them out when i was stripping a cab down. it was the last thing i pull when i strip a cab so everything is out of the way when ive done it. it is easier to ge tthe arms at the same time so you dont have to try and mess with those clips. be carefull not to rip the gaskets . if you do i think you can make new ones from cork like the old ones are made from.
