I'm pretty certain it is 5/16 FINE , or UNF thread.
I thnk UNC is 18, UNF is 24 in a 5/16 size

Are you using a bolt to pull the wheel off? can someone show a picture of this?

Hey Ryan, do you have a tap set? Just spin a tap in by hand and you should be able to figure out size and thread by the one that goes in without having to force it.

max no each steering wheel has two bolt holes in it to help when using a steering wheel puller to remove the steering wheel. it seems that the bolts they were using got pulled out of the threads in the wheel and no they are trying to repair the threads.
ryan i have a tap i will go out and see if i have the right tap later and try it on a spare wheel i have laying around.
