i thought all AM radios were the same from 68-72 but i notice that some do not have buttons. why is that?
and why do some have a peice of metal behind the needle with the black numbers on it, instead of black with white numbers?
im trying to find out what needs to be in my 69 ranger f100 to be original.
ok, so my 71 custom has a ranger radio in it. I guess ill take that out and put it in the ranger to be origanally correct and get a basic one for the 71 custom.
the reason i ask about the metal part thing, is someone is selling one here on the forums, and i want to know if it would be correct for my ranger. and for junkyard references.
I have an unmolested 1971 Sport Custom with 57 K miles. I've owned it since 1978 and it has an AM radio with pushbottons. I'm sure this radio has never been replaced...still works, too!
The deluxe radio (with the pushbuttons) was optional on all trim packages AFAIK.
