Fuse box

Post by 1971fordcustom »

Does the fuse box need to be grounded? I put in a fire wall cover and I did not find the holes to put the box back on, so I just fasend it on to the fire wall cover, I did not want to drill new holes in to the fire wall.

While it might not be necessary to attach it to the firewall, I'd still strongly suggest that you do so for stability. Just insert a nail through the firewall hole from the engine compartment, to poke the hole in the firewall cover...easy enough to do, and will give you some piece of mind.

I bolted it down on to the fire wall cover. So now its not free as a bird lol. I did not find the holes in the engine compartment. It woud of been hard to get a hole started when the cover is the abs stuff.

Thanks for the help

then maybe a drill if you could find the holes. i never seem to think of the simple way of doing things like that. i always do some things the hard way. you'll probably be ok if its anchored to the abs thing. how is that thinig does it let heat come through is it quiet? tell us all you can about it. how does it look? does it look out of place?

Take a look in NPDs book and look at the firewall cover! I got mine from them. In side of my cab is soo quiet now after I put the sound stuff in it and then the carpet and the fire wall cover and vent glass seals door panels. Its so quiet I have to open the vent glass or some thing to get some darn noise in the cab lol. Im not use to a quite cab. I have glass packs and its hard to hear them  . How about this ill get off my rear today and get some photos!
