resale the dash or drill new holes. thats all that can be done. unless you can heat up the dashboard and let it expand. but if its made like the old ones that wont work. because the old ones studs were mounted on a strip of metal. and the whole strip had to be lined up to match the holes.

Yea its made like the old one :x

I just got back from trying it once more and this time I got all the back ones in and most of the front but the little corners or w/e :o

But its still about 2 inches off the rubber. I'll have the body man come out and see what he can do. If not I'll get my money back and RANT AND RAVE about cal mustang

Those aren't the best dash pads. There have been a bunch of them come up for sale on eBay.
Wonder why? :?

There have been a couple of threads regarding the dash pads from Cal-Mustang, no one seemed very happy with them. There have been a bunch of these on Ebay, they appeared soon after Cal-Mustang had their sale. Not sure you will have any luck getting a refund since all sales were final, but I wish you luck if you try.

Yep, I just centered it up in the dash and wiggled it until it marked the new hole positions... Sounds ugly, but it worked ok.

I called California Mustang (if that is what you mean by Cal Mustang) and I questioned them about an interior color choice for a Mustang that wasn't available in the year they were selling it for. These guys (gals) are supposed to be experts on Mustangs?? After speaking with their BOZOS on the phone about incorrect items they are offering for Mustangs I wouldn't deal with them for anything.

There was a person on Gainesville4sale.com in Florida a couple of weeks ago trying to sell an original perfect (they said) black BUMPside dash pad for $100.00. I didn't follow up on it because even though my truck needs a dash pad I'm looking for other stuff for it first.

I know good dash pads are hard to come by.

I actually thought I saw some reproduction arm rests on a 1972 (new arrival) 302/Auto SWB BUMPside pickup that came into my favorite wrecking yard this past week. If reproductions are as hard and sorry looking as these two were I would install red arm rests out of a van in my lunar green & white '68 before I bought reproductions. The screws that held them onto the doors weren't even recessed into the arm rests.

Hopefully they will refund your money. I would contact them and let them know that the dash pad doesn't bolt right up.

I'm sure Ford didn't drill dash holes for each individual dash pad on the assembly line in 1967-1972. You can swap factory used dash pads from DENTside to DENTside because I've helped a few people do this.

National Parts Depot (NPD) has 30 days (if I remember correctly) to return something to them (fortunately I can drive up the road 20 minutes and stop there, or stop on my way home from work).

Contact California Mustang to be sure you don't miss a return deadline, if they have one.

Cal mustang got out of the truck business, that's why they had a closeout sale. No returns, no refunds.

Well thats a bunch of BULL Show me some thing that says no returns once bought! Not the 30 day thing.

They say nothing about not returns YA YA YA.

They do say the 30 day thing. Well I just got the pad on FIRDAY and im calling them monday.

If they do tell me no returns they will just get in deep *(^*&^ then Its a FALSE thing.
If nothing else will work I can just talk to my mom that works at the bank and I'll get my money. + thats where all my stuff is.
I do not see one place in there site says no returns! After the 30 days ya I see that, But I've had mine 2 days. I even have the fedx guy to tell them that!

I wont back down from them. :2cents:

95% of my parts are from Npd. Other % I bought from Dc but npd has most dc parts so I guess you can say 90% of my truck is Dc

Npd is the best. They call me and let me know if they have some new parts come in or if there is a part that has a dent, Some part hsa I dent or w/e I buy it. So far I all ready have the parts so I just put the others in a box wateing for some other bump to pull into the drive way

This is what I see on the Cal-Mustang site regarding truck parts.

"FINAL BLOW OUT SALE...VERY LIMITED SUPPLY! VERY LIMITED SUPPLY...WHEN THEY ARE GONE, THEY'RE GONE! All parts in this section are limited to stock on-hand. All parts are sold As-Is, no warranty, no return, no refund, no exchange."
