I actually have been planning on installing a new dash in the 69, with white face guages, and colored LEDs (depending on what colors i choose). I didnt even think about putting different colors for turn signals and a LED in the dome light. im going to do that :D
thanks :)

Dan,

Awesome tach.
I don't see how anyone does without one, (I've got so many rattles so the tach tells me what the engine is doing)!

Two questions though...

How'd you get a 67 with 21K miles on it? :D

And do all 67's have the orange line from 70-100 MPH on the speedo's?:o

Jeff
Jeff,

No doubt in my mind that the odometer has rolled. Or it was replaced at some time by a PO.

As far as the orange line, This is the first 67 I have owned so I really don't know. I had a 72 about 15 years ago, and I thought it had the orange line as well, but my memory is not to be trusted.

Thanks all for the comments.

My '67 has the orange line... and it appears to be the original speedo.

my 69 has a orange line :D
but my 71 doesnt :D
and im 90% sure the cluster is original in the 69, judging from the history of the truck and the stories the PO told me.
i am pretty sure the 71's is original too.

my 69 has the orange line...and the speedo needle will flatline to the right of it quite nicely :D

On the subject of led's for the turn indicators...do y'all leave the plastic piece in the insert to diffuse the light,or just remove it?

seattle67-

What size are the bulbs for the LED's and where did you pick them up. MY dash lights are barely adequate (which I am hoping in partial fixed by a new switch) and the turn signal is just OK. I would also be interested in the dope light as well.
