Kinda classic-ish I think. I drove for many years with it with NO POWER STEERING!!! Don't do that!

I'm gonna put a small diameter wheel on the F-250. The large diameter wheels rub across my thighs when I get in and out of the truck.
That's the reason I'm changing out my wheel. The factory wheel is fine but it's just too big. There is no room between my gut and the steering wheel and I can't handle that. It makes me feel fatter than I am.
I think I'll go with the wheel like you have. That's about as classic as you can get.
Ordered the wheel like above with the Ford Oval horn button. I like the one at LMC the best but can't find one exactly like it. so screw it.

I just got this one on ebay for $75. I figure it will be easier than fixing the one I have. If you gut hits the wheel you just have to put on a few more pounds to compress the seat a little more then you are golden.

I was going to get a grant for mine, but I got to thinking, I have a new wheel for my 68 mustang. the classic wood rim and the chrome bars with holes in it..its still sitting in the box..since I am working on the truck and the mustang isnt a top priority right now, Im going to swap out the horn button emblem for one that says ford and stick it in my bump. give a look in some mustang sites.. not sure what your price range is ,but they do have some classic good looking steering wheels for sale in em..

I had planned on replacing the wheel in my 71 with something aftermarket. My question is this. I am going to stay with a 15" or larger because of the strongarm steering but, is there a minimum dish before you get to close to the column shifter (three speed)? I'd hate to buy a wheel and find out I smack my knuckles on the shifter in first and reverse.

You're inspirational Nathan! My ever broadening girth is all part of a master plan, I feel better about myself already!

thats a good question. the way to find out how far away the dish would need to be you could pull the shifter up in the center and into both gears one at a time and make measurement at the three points. then take that measurement and figure the distance of what would be a minmum fo rthe dish.

What's the dish on a standard Ford wheel?
