The electrical schematic diagram link follows:

Circuit 57 is the ground and generally connects to one of the braces behind the instrument panel.

Like l1k2gadd stated it could be a bulb or that trailer wiring...
I have seen when one of the bulbs goes out cause this... Do all the Turn signal lights front and rear work on the left side? The are dual element bulbs and I have seen when the element brakes it short over the the other circuit. The other would be that trailer wiring being hosed up...
Study that digram that bluef250 pointed you to and if you have questions on it let me know and I'll help out with it. :)

Everything is orig and never had any wiring done. Could i have a short or a ground problem. Also with headlights on when you turn on emer flashers all ext lights pulsate slightly. The guy i bought truck from has wired for trailer light hook up. looks sloppy. Could this be my problem
I had a similar situation to yours just last month, i replaced my headlight switch and it solved the problem.

Well im back again. Checked all grounds, changed headlight switch, cleaned sockets and changed bulbs, removed trailer light hookup and still having the same problem. I think someone has messed with wiring at one time and im having power feed back into harness.
With the column harness diconnected when i turn on head lights the left turn indicator still lights up as well as front and back left bulbs. With harness connected and left turn signal is turned on lefts blink ans also rights but not as bright. If i turn on headlights all lights stop and stay lit as is. Everything works fine if i don't turn on headlights. I think im gonna have get out the jumper wires and test each wire. any suggestions ?

i dont know this is a problem that i dont recognize. i want to say turn signal switch but that doesnt sound right either. maybe something is feeding back or something. if i were doing it i would be testing all that stuff with a tester to see what is going on.

Ive been using a light tester just to see where my power is going. On the wiring diagrham it's hard to tell what should be hot and not. what i thought is take a hot jumper and see if my harness going to all is wired correct. per diagrham i have one to many wires. Ive got two hots going to harness as is not sure if that is correct.

Try this;
With the column harness disconnected:
Disconnect the connectors that I have marked here in RED on this wire diagram, ONE at a time, and try to see if the left Turn Lights go out with the Head lights on… This should point you in the direction of which part of the harness to look at for crossed wires… NOTE: start with the connectors on the Driver side of the truck first...

Edit; woops Attchment added...
