Dome light door switch

I got my fancy new dome light bezel installed, and boy is it nice. My dome light only turns on with the knob on the dash, not when I open the door. Any trouble shooting suggestions?

power for the dome light switches comes from the headlight switch. so if the headlight switch is giving out power to the door switches and the light doesnt come on then its probably one of the switches is bad.

There's only a switch on the driver's door. Where do I get a replacement door switch? Funny my '83 F250 had the same problem.

Be careful where you by those button switches. Bought a pair from lmc and both fell apart within a week. One even broke the snap ears off my plug and now i can't find a plug anywhere.

peanut man the only place i would know to get those would be off another harness. if you do search and find them let everyone else know where you got them from.

Fordman i will let everyone know if i find any. So do you know if npd and dc are junk as well? All the guts on the ones from lmc popped out the back.

i have never bought from them. i havent bought any lmc switches either. i thought i had some extras around here but i dont know what i done with them. maybe i sold them already. i have about ten boxes of stuf in the house i've been going through of stuff i want to get rid of. let alone the stuff in the garage.

I get mine out of other Fords in the wrecking yards. The passenger and rear doors on a lot of the older cars are the same as the Bump door switches. The driver's door switches on the mid 70s Fords added a third connector for the door buzzer that buzzes when the lights are left on or the key is left in the cars.

I didn't think to check the '77 Cougar's passenger door switch when I was pulling the cruise out of it. I did pull the driver's door jamb switch and it had two alignment pins on it, and it had the three pins to boot.

Thanks for the e-bay link nauesa,I did bid on that harness. They also have some dark blue armrest for 67. Picture not to clear looks like one had cracks.
