Has anyone ever just bought some new vinyl and put it on there old dash pad? I mean like take it off and cover it? If so, got any pics?

Aside from recovering are there any chemicals that can restore the vinyl from a faded condition?

I like Meguiars stuff the best. The have a vinyl and rubber protectant that I use for the dash:

My dash was rather dry and soaked it in. I don't know if this is the right product for the job, but it's served me well so far...
