 i just asked myself the same question a few minutes ago when i was looking at a bucket seat thread!
although i think i decided bench. since you can fit 3 people instead of 2. and with buckets you can see the tank easily.

it all depends on what you want. my 68 f250 has a bench so my wife and kid can ride and my 70 swb is gonna have buckets. it's gonna be a mover so i doubt my daughter will ride in it until she gets a little bit bigger.

I would like to be able to afford a King Ranch set up for my project some day. Either the 60/40 or the buckets w/ console. you just don't see many of the King ranch edition in the yards. If they are there the interior is either damaged to undesirability or priced for the wealthy

I'm gonna do buckets with the console like Tony said.
I really need someplace to set my coffee! Other than my lap...

Hopefully have the slide-in camper like the Kapn for "getting close to my honey".

That's the style I wanted when i was looking but I came up with a brand new bench w/split back that I couldn't pass up.... So that's what it got. I do like the 40/20/40 in my 97 though.....not sure if it mounts the same as a regular bench. The 97 bench was a bolt in deal swapping the sliders from my 69 onto it.
