Polishing chrome

Post by nadams »

How do I take out or knock down the pits in my 67's chrome horn button ring? I have been told steel wool but I don't know if it will make it worse or not.

steel wool is the way to go. it will knock down the pits. it might also dull the chrome but its better than pits. i have one i got off ebay with a few pits in it too. i got a horn ring to replace it with. so i'm going to ebay it soon if you want to watch for it.

Fordman I almost just addressed my post to you because you are always the first to answer my questions. I just bought this one at the pick and pull so I will stick with this for a while. By the way did you respond to my grill response/question?
