went to get in my 67 f100 the other day and I couldnt open the driverside door. I started working on it today and I cant figure out how to get the door open. I have tried locking and unlocking it several times, I have tried using the inside and outside handles. I have taken the inside door panel off and everything appears to be working but obviously its not. I am assuming that it is something inside the latching mechanism I cant see. I cant take the mechanism off since the door wont open.
Does anyone know how to open the door in its present state. I am wondering if there is a small lever or something I can use to release the latch and open the door.
Thanks
Randy

Randy,
You should be able to get to it nce the panel is off.
Here's what you're looking at, (or trying to look at).
You should be able to pull the lever on the door latch from inside the door.
I believe you'll have to have the window in the 'up" position to do this.

I took the panel off and everything looks good.
I finally got it open by sitting inside and hitting the door really hard then used the handle to open the door like normal.
The door does stick now though, any suggestions on an adjustment or should I just use grease to fix it.
Thanks
Randy

i think i remember reading that the 67 door release mechanisms are from the opposite side as 68-72. in other words you can use a 68 passenger side on the 67 drivers side. i might be wrong i haven't read that in a while
there is some adjustments to the latch and striker bolt on the door pillar. is you striker bolt worn looking? does it have a groove worn into it. if it does you need to replace it. if not you can adjust the bolt by loosening it with a torx bit and move it the way you need to make the adjustment. you can also now remove your door latch and clean and spray it with pb blaster to lube it up. you can also manually work it to make sure it isn't sticking when you put it back in.
