I replaced the heater core after a very long time. (went out years ago) It was a pain in the rear. After doing it i would have done a completely diassembly procedure. Anyways, I could not remember which outlet on the heater core goes the heater control valve. I guessed and seems to work fine, but I would like to make sure it was right.
I used silicone to seal the unit tight cause the was no gakets for the intake and box assembly from LMC. Turned out pretty good. Next will be to trouble shoot the dealer added a/c and replace the hoses..
Thanks to everyone for the info. Done alot of searching on past posts and makes it easier to work on the truck. I have a 67 chevelle and had alot of experience with that, but the 71 has been some newer territory... Thanks guys...
Blessings,
replaced the heater core, have question

Right, (Pass), side. Although it doesn't really matter since all it does it cut the flow.

Thank you for that. I had put it on the drivers side. I was almost positive it was passanger side, but the cable seemed more confortable in the drives side. Gonna chage over this weekend.. Thanks for the post and picture....
