Hey Fordman...

I've had 2 stock Camper Specials a '68 & '71, I cut my teeth on a '70 CS and my bro TheeMc has a '72 CS...
I've never seen a stock antenna on the driver's side before...
Is that a special order option?
Or did someone mount it that way?
I've seen quite a few CS's with duel CB antennas, but that's about it...

My crew had one on that side but I think it was for a cb as it also has one on the passenger side.

well i should have put it this way. the dealer installs or owner installs and some california models were done that way on purpose. that was all i remember about the drivers side antenna discussion last time.

i have seen the antenna mounted on the driver side too, i think that was a result of a radio and antenna install on a factory radio delete truck, they put it where they wanted.

My '67 CS has a place for a 2nd antenna. It looks factory (there's a a slight "indentation"), but was "blanked" at some point, which doesn't look bad. I was trying to decide if I shoud just have it welded over when I have the truck re-done, but since they were factory on some CS's I might just keep it that way. I thought maybe it was there for a CB or a truck-to-camper radio?

You can see the blank on the driver's side cowl in this picture:
