ignition switch removal from 1971 f-100

how do i remove this switch...i see the hole on the faceplate, but cannot figure out how to use it to remove the switch...i do have a key.

To remove the ignition switch lock cylinder: First DISCONNECT THE BATTERY! Then put the key in and turn it to the 'Accessories' position. Stick the end of a paper clip into the tiny hole in the face of the lock cylinder to release it and then turn the key counterclockwise and pull the key and lock assembly out of the switch. Installation is opposite of removal.

You can also just disconnect the back of the switch and then turn to acc.. just in case your to lazy to pull the battery..
