re: The begining updated Feb 2/08
Well today the crew looked awful lonely so I took her out for a spin, man, after sitting for a month at -20 it fired up like a dream (today was +5). So off I went, grinning ear to ear waving at the neighbors like I was royalty
, everyone in my neighborhood loves my crew too, the big 428 rumblin away begging to cut loose. My little boy, 2.5 years was more excited then me, so I asked him "stay with big block power or go diesel" he said "diesel" and at that instant the rumble was gone
. I said uh oh and tried to fire it up and it sounds like there's a bumble bee in the starter solenoid now. Then I had a good laugh when my son said "daddys truck don't like diesel" Not much of an update but it was another project experiance. ![Thumbs up ](./images/smilies/icon_thumright.gif)

re: The begining updated March 8/08
Well I started playing with the brakes today, orderd some new drums, which were wrong ofcourse, so I had the old ones turned and with the new wheel cylinders and shoes she brakes awesome, also replaced all the coolant hoses an vacuum lines. I've decided to leave this truck as a driver until the cummins is ready and the new body is painted and ready to go on so I can use it to transport everything around. So, to have it as a driver I have one last thing to do, replace the pass side manifold, keep your fingers crossed for me that no studs break
. Now I hope there is enough propane left in it to get to the gas station cause I was trying to run it out before I pulled it apart ![Doh ](./images/smilies/icon_doh.gif)

So I made it to the gas station
broke off two manifold studs changeing the gasket
got a day permit and driving the wheels off it today and lovin it
, for an old rust bucket it sure gets a lot of stares, especially from guys in newer crews

I think I need a shot or something after working in there
