2nd Battery box under the hood
Glad to find this site, I have a 67 F250 CS. On the driver side up top on the fender sits a battery box, dont look as if a battery would fit under the hood right there, never tryed one but there is a cable to hook one up. Can you guys point me in the right direction about this, I have had a look around but did not find anything. Thank You, Rod.

Trust me, it will fit there just fine.

Do you have one on the passenger side as well? Sounds like there may have been an inverter inline, for dual batteries. That was the main reason why my truck has one there, my old man had an inverter and he would throw the deep cycle battery in the truck so it would be fully charged by the time we got to the lake (for the trolling motor). The regular battery got moved there when the inner fender got too rotted to support a battery any longer.

390 will do thank you, had a look at your pic, my box sits closer to the hinge about half way on top of the fender and the main battery sits up front on the passenger side.

Hey R Rocks...
Most of the Camper Specials came with either a duel battery set up or could be ordered with a Onan generator.
Normally, they had a battery box just like the one on the passenger side, but was mirrored to fit the same way.
