Recieved dome switches yesterday. Came in motorcraft boxes. Switches are white w/black button plungers. Twice the weight and smoother operating than repos. I think they are winners.

If you frequent wrecking yards remember Ford used the same door switches that the Bumps have in them in the 1968 through about 1975 or so Ford, Mercury and possibly even Lincolns. The driver's door button is usually the 3-pin type because of the driver's door buzzer, but the passenger and rear door buttons in a lot of these vehicles are the same as the Bumps.

Was reading through this thread to find out why my dome light won't come on...

There are no door buttons or any evidence thereof. Shouldn't the dome light come on when you turn the headlight switch all the way left (past the "click?") I found the wire unplugged under the dash but can't seem to find its partner!

Funny story: found the horn wire while I was under there, and scared the bejesus out of myself.

JT,
There are no door buttons or any evidence thereof.
If there is a dome light mounted in the truck, (is there wiring up there)?

The wiring for the switches has probably fallen behind the door jamb.

So do you need a set plus the small brackets that mount them?
