ok the brake lights both work and when i try to use the turn signal the brake light on what ever side i turn it to goes out like it is suppose to. Now ive checked both flashers even replaced both. I pulled the steering wheel and tested the switch wires one by one with a voltmeter and got nothing when i just try to use the turn signals but when i flip the emergency flasher all four flash like they are suppose to. When i went to test the wires that go to the flasher on the back of the instrument panel i get no power going to the flasher.....SOO i think my problem is im not getting power to the turn signal switch for regular turning. I check the fuses they are all good and so are the sockets they plug into and the bulb sockets as well... i am just out of ideas were to look
I guess here is a pic of how far a got http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u223 ... 220016.jpg

re: more turn signal woes
Ok, the no power to the turn "flasher" on the back of the Instrument panel IS your problem... That gets it's power from the fuse box and that fuse also is for the backup lights and the windshield washer so if they don't work then there is a problem there in the fuse box... If they work then check the wires for the window washer at the back of the switch for the wipers where it plugs in there as this wire is connected in that area.
See the attached diagram. the Orange-Yellow stripe wire from the flasher #8 goes to the connector for the washer power, and you will see that it turns into Black wire #950 this goes to the Backup light switch, and then turns into Black-Red striped wire #140 and goes to the fuse panel. So if you have power at the fuse panel then this wire has a brake in it somewhere here to the flasher.

Ugg, the odd child... Ok, looks like the power for that is routed just a wee bit different... If the diagrams are correct... The power comes from the fuse box and goes to the heater switch #181, then it turns to #950 and goes to the Windshield wiper switch for the washer pump power, then that is where #8 wire to the flasher is joined in... Look at both of these diagrams to see what I'm talking about... Also Note: that even though some of these wire connections where one wire looks like it is joined (spliced) at the connector it may be back up the wire a ways...
Wiper Power rout http://www.fordification.com/images/sch ... wipers.jpg
Lights diagram http://www.fordification.com/images/sch ... ghts02.jpg
I'm guessing that the problem might be by the heater switch...
Let me know if you have any questions on these diagrams.

re: more turn signal woes
that is going to be fun...not...
That is an aftermarket A/C, so I wonder if something is amiss with the wiring with it maybe...
Good hunting and hope it goes well

re: more turn signal woes
yeah its nopt to hard to drop the ac 2 screws on each side and a few hoses and it will come out. i hope .
Just sucks im 50 miles for this project so i can only go work on it on fridays
and even then i some times run into stuff like getting the heater box out and then even more fun getting it back in.
the ac unit blower and every thing works. funny though that 3 months ago when i hooked a battery up to it to see what worked it didnt work and the heater blower worked fine from the switch and the turn signals kinda worked....now its the oppisite
any way im off to bed ill try to think this out more when i havent been up since 7am and on 5 hours of sleep :zz
