It will work great. My only advice is beware of the new electronic replacement regulators. I put one on my 67 and it smoked. It was a direct replacement, but it didn't last but a year or so. Not worth the money being the old contact type like I put back lasts several years longer.

The electronic ones are fine as long as you get an original Motorcraft on and not aftermatket parts store junk. As a matter of fact I always snag those and blue gommet ignition boxes off junkers.

I haven't had any experience with a Motorcraft electronic regulator yet. I guess I may need to get one sometime and try it. The thinner box looks better to me so I'll try one. What is the blue gommet ignition box you are talking about? :? I know that sounds stupid, but it isn't ringing any bells.

He is talking about the 73-79(maybe newer) Duraspark control boxes.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
