removing wiring harness

ive fully disconnected all my wiring harnesses, but how do you get them out? i mean they wont just slide through the firewall grommet.

No, you have to push the grommet through and remove it with the wires. You'll notice the grommet's tapered, on the smaller side pinch it inwards where it meets the firewall and push it through.
