1990 Ford Ranger V6

Post by towens »

Hey Everyone,

I had a couple of problems occur on a '90 Ranger that I was helping a friend with. The first problem is that the E-Brake Light doesn't show up when it is applied and it won't pass safety until it does. The other question is that I had installed a stereo into it. He had no problems with it until recently. It is no longer getting any power to it. We checked all of the fuses and the wiring to the unit itself. There wasn't any problems there. I am stumped and would appreciate any advice on how I can help him.

the brake light could be burned out. fo rthe stereo. are you getting power past the fuse? if not check the fuse box back or the fuse holder.

I checked to see if there was power reaching to the connector with a test light and there was. So I know that power is getting to it from the fuse box. I had checked the fuse on the unit itself, the fuse is good and it still doesn't come on. :?
