Yours (Jamie) sounds like one of the Cal-Mustangs type dashpads...

Interesting bit of info on dashesdirect.com... a lot of big suppliers. NPD, LMC, BOTP.... oh, and :fte:

They list under products:
Description: 1967 - 72 FORD ORIGINAL TRUCK DASH PAD
Standard Colors: Black, White (Dyeable)
Custom Colors:
Image

Ironically, they also list "1967 - 72 FORD TRUCK LEFT ARM REST PAD", but show a 68-72 arm rest. It drives me nuts when the 67's are lumped in like that, because they are NOT the same.

It's also interesting because I did NOT see Dennis Carpenter. BUT, Carpenter's web site does NOT list their 67-72 dash pads as being from original tooling. They do sell them in black and "neutral", though. I wonder if theirs are made by them, and whether they are "official" reproductions? Has anyone ordered one from them? I'd love to see a side-by-side comparison!

I can't wait to see pictures of what you've got!

they say you can order them in custom colors too.
I looked at their list of "distributors" and it had DC and NPD in there amongst others, so this looks to be the place that is making them for them.

You got it Thunderfoot... I missed that the first time I looked. Guess I was keyed in on "Dennis" and didn't notice "Carpenter Industries".

Guess we saved 1971FordCustom some $$$! Just goes to show you that DC doesn't make EVERYTHING they sell. I think it's ridiculous they sell them for $370. Wonder what the overhead is on that?

I had one of them Cal-Mustangs dashpads :x but I got luckey and got all my money back even on shipping.

But I guess I did good buying from jcw now you all know where dc and npd gets theres from!

I have not got to the dashpad today! Theres about 7 inches of snow and its still falling and there saying about 12 16 inches of snow! I don't have heat in my shop so its kind of cold to work on the dash pad + its really stiff sence its so cold out. But I'll let ever one know when I get the dashpad installd.

The dark side...

Ford truck enthusiest dot com....

The best place for anal retentive types who like lots of glaring ads... Not much traffic in he bump section for some odd reason...

Really is a horrible site, can't advertise your project, can't use off site picture hosting, can't mention Fordification, etc.

You know, I have never been there either come to think of it. When I found this home, the first thing I read whas the article on being banned from there. And I have never felt the urge to go, I just love it too much here to even think about leaving.

I went there first, before I found Fordification. If I had a dent or newer, maybe I would still go there. If you can stomach all the crap, there really are some good people on that site, but for our trucks there is absolutely no reason to put up with the nightmare that is FTE. Fordification is all we need. ( why do I constantly feel compelled to thank Keith)

FTE's loss was our gain.

Fordification and Slick60's are examples of what truck enthusiast web sites can be, when you leave greed and ego out of it, and remember its all about the trucks.
