Don't know about that one. I have a Pertronix on one vehicle and a Compufire on another one, and both of them are totally reliable. Put them on and forget all the point troubles. That being said, I do carry a set of points and condenser in the glove box, but haven't had to use them. I installed the Pertronix about 4 years ago, and have had absolutly no problem with it. The Compufire was installed on my bug when I bought it, so I have no usage history, except that I have had no problems. Now there are some people who have had some problems, and they will probably chime in too.
