Color match for red three spoke steering wheel

I bought a red three spoke steering wheel with a couple of cracks. The paint is faded and rubbed off in places.

Does anyone know what the original color used to make these wheels red is?

If not any really cose matches?

I want to paint it when I am done and would like to make it look close to stock.

it would be the same as the color listed on you interior code. probably a maroon. you would have to check the vin plate to get the vin color code.

Darn, that won't help the previous owner changed the color, the transmission, and the engine and left the original vin tag.

Anyone out there with a red/maroon wheel that has an accurate vin?
