Electrical,but alittle off topic
I have a Campfield-Hauss 26gal/5hp compresor, made to plug into outlets. I was told along time ago I could rewire for 220(but have had no ample power source until now)and it would run more efficent. There's nothing in the manual that say this can or cannot happen(Wal-Mart special) Has anybody done this or can give me info about it?
I've had enough and I'm not alone

THX for reply Mike, but a buddie stopped in and the motor is not set up for
220--just 120---so I just put it on it's on 20amp breaker--that'll do for now
I may have to look into bigger/better someday

Most all electric motors have a data plate somewhere on them that will specify volts/amps/and HZ.
If there's no data plate there...
When you look at the end of the electric motor that turns the compressor, most have a small plate covering where the supply voltage is wired into the motor.
If it's a multi-voltage motor there will be several terminals under that cover plate.
A lot of motors it's just a matter of switching where the leads are hooked up under that plate.
