Doug, you have mail.

Been pricing phase converters and for a 7.5hp CNC they recommend a 15hp rotory converter which needs a 4ga feed wire. How ironic the garage is fed with #6... More work, more aggrevation...

Hey Jamie,

Thanks for the great work! Got mine installed and its solid looking and a very good style fit for the truck. I'm definitely interested in a cd bracket if you ever get further down the path with that idea. :)

Glad you like it. The CD bezels are about one step closer. Tonight after work I borrowed my dad's '03 F-250 and trailer, tomorrow I have to pull maintenance on it and Friday I'm running 168 miles up into PA for the mill. I've been on eBay the last couple days gathering vises and other bits to make it work.

The bill so far...

$975 for a 15hp phase converter.
$10,500 for the 1991 Bridgeport Discovery 308
$500 roughly for the vise, parallels, clamp kit and some tooling to get started.

I figure after 600 or so bezels I'll break even...

Of course the priceless part is being able to make cool stuff for you guys and our trucks. :)

Jamie,

I received the bezel and lens in the mail yesterday. The pictures do not do this justice--this is a work of art that just happens to double as something functional!

Congrats on the mill! I would love to have a mill in my shop; right now I just have a Rockwell manual lathe. Maybe someday........

Anyway thanks again for a great part!

You guys have PMs for the dome lamp bezels.

As an update, I'm working on getting the mill powered up and tested out. Had to move lights to run the conduit and air lines etc. Dragging my feet a bit, but the boss gave me tomorrow off so I'll try to get it up and running and start on the programs.

I invested $450 Monday on tool holders, ouch, I'm about done buying stuff (running out of money) so I need to get her up and running.

If I may be so bold, how about a new thread in the "For Sale" forum, or at the least, state the price up front on the first page, with a link to this one for general info if people want it. After a few pages I got bored looking for the final price  and either I was going to decide to jump in, or decide to bail out. Might make the decision easier for people if they have pictures and a price to judge with, and the thought of having to get to page 24 (for newer members) might turn them away.

As for me, sign me up for the dome light bezel, and let me know the final price (PM me payment info too!).

Damn fine work, by the way! 8)

Paul, PM sent. I'm actually going to let this one die out in a couple weeks once the mill is up and running. Price is probably going to go up to $30, that's what they are starting at on eBay. I have a couple left, then it's over.

Gizmos are in the mail. Been fighting the mill all day, actually cleaning up the mess from the install.
