tail lights acting up

tail lights acting up

When the headlights are on I have no brake lights or turn signals at the rear. with the lights off I do. how should I trouble shoot this?

Check your fuse panel. You MIGHT have a stop light fuse blown.
Too many projects, too little time, but.. lovin' it!

First, check the grounds at the tail lights.

Do all your front and rear marker lights work? If one of them doesn't replace it, the element could have broken inside and shorted over to the turn/brake circuit which will could cause this.
If all the lights are good then check ground connections as bluef250 stated... :2cents:

i got a similar problem, but the lights do come on, and signals work, but the brake lights don't

haven't got to looking at it yet, but any idea's?

turkeydinner, you check your brakelight switch, fuse?
