battery requirement

Can anyone tell me how many cold cranking amps my battery should have in a 1972 F-250 with a 360? My semi-deep cycle battery has 550 cca. I have hot start problems and thought it might be the battery being marginal in capacity.

the general rule i go by is to double your CID and thats how many CCA's you should have

In my F100 I have a 1100 Cold Cranking Amp battery. It will start the truck usually no matter how cold. :evil:
