Bought another '68 longbox last week. It's been well used but pretty well preserved, decent cab and box floor. Even original owners manual. The guy checked off the custom cab option on the order sheet but apparently nothing else. Thus I have a '68 Mercury with the c/c trim (windshield, door, header, alum grill, upscale cluster face and tailite chrome) but also a painted bumper and idiot lights in the cluster. Also has the radio delete blockoff plate. As far as I can tell, this is the original configuration and according the '68 build sheet I got from a friend a couple of years ago, it's possible. Anyone else ever run into one like this or any other unusual option combinations?

You're right, Craig. All the chrome pieces I mentioned were in the Custom Cab package but it's different that he didn't finish it off by ordering the extra gauges, radio and chrome front bumper as well. It's just a basic holly green truck with a little extra flash.
