AT shifter

Post by Teacherman »

The chrome has flaked and rusted on mine, and I would like to replace/improve it. On Dennis Carpenter, they list a column shift lever arm for low and reverse and one for 2nd and 3rd gear. No photo. Is there a difference or are they talking about something else?

What you're looking at there at DC is not the shifter handle, but the shifter arms for the bottom end of a manual three-speed column.

I'd like to replace the handle. It's pitted and has some rust spots. Unless someone has a way to clean it up.

no real way to clean it up and I don't know of anyone that remakes them.

I would chek salvage yards and on ebay.
