Yeah...
I'm pretty sure yer right about fitment...
I think they use the same one on full sized cars too.
the one on the DC link looks exactly like the one I got except I think it would be for car because of the rubber boot on the wire.
That would go in the hole in trunk and plug into a female plug inside the trunk.
If I can, I'll check the light this weekend...
I have a really busy schedule this weekend.
I'm playing guitar at a women's conference...
hmmmm... a single guy in a building full of women...

re: License Plate Light
Well I solved my problem until I can get a new bumper. I bent up a piece of sheet metal and drilled a hole big enough for the spare dash light I found. Covered it with some plastic and there ya go:

That is a nice setup. Here's a pic of what I suspect most of us have remnants of on our trucks. This was a take-off about forty years ago, I think.

re: License Plate Light
I just bought TWO of what Mike shows in his post off ebay for only $12 plus $5 for the ride!! So I have one for now, and one for later.
The seller said his came from a box of parts for a 66 Galaxie, but they looked the same so I took a chance and bought them. They worked perfect! Hooked one up tonight... pictures to follow later when my wife finds the camera, but I've attached the one from the auction:
