I searched for this but came up with nothing.
What are the differences in the 3G's output? I was once told that it has something to do with the amount of holes on the front of the case? I am gonna be dong the swap this week and want the higher output one. Thanks

don't know about the # of holes theory. Only thing i know for sure is the alternator out of a 98 v6 mustang is a bolt in. You MIGHT have to shave .075 - .090 off the back of the pulley to get the alignment correct.
