I can swap parts, and have a pretty good idea of how things are supposed to work..
If they don't work, I haven't got a clue why... or even where to start lookin'.
I've learned more about electrical stuff in the past year from the guys here...
Many thanks to you, Thunderfoot, Underdog97 and everyone else who has helped me with my projects.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

No, no, no kaptn!! You'll never become an electrician that way. Never, ever admit you don't know how you fixed it. 80% of the time, we "fix" things exactly like you did, just open it up and jiggle things around. Then, as if by magic, things start working. Now here is the key, WE ALWAYS TAKE FULL CREDIT! It was all due to our mad trouble shooting skills!!
If anyone asks how you fixed it, give them your best condescending look and tell them that "they wouldn't understand".
They almost always buy it!
What they don't understand is that we are as confused as they are, we just jiggle things better.
haha. Sounds like a "hold your mouth just right" sitiation.
perhaps the way the wire was bent in there. Had an atari that the cord had to be folded in half to work right. until i bought the new universal adapter anyways.

Yep, PFM always works the best.
Clad it is working again and you know where to look if it happens again. It will either work good forever or it will get worse enough to show where the problem is... That is how a lot of things like this go at my work...
