bucket seat brackets
If you would like a set of brackets for buckets I will try to get them made. I want 10 people to say "yes"
I wont hold anyone to it if the prices are unreasonable. Only posts needed are verbal commitments or a source to purchase after market units already avail.

Jim O Berg reproduces these.

re: bucket seat brackets
I'm going to be installing some buckets off of a '79 Bronco on mine, hopefully some time before the cows come home...I test fitted the seats, and I'll definitely have to do some jury-rigging to get them to mount snugly to the configuration of my floor...Does it make sense to buy new brackets that are more 'made to fit'?...

re: bucket seat brackets
I was waiting for info to bubble to the surface about where they are. I've been informed of who makes them. Research isn't one of my strength's, so with some head scratching and some kicking. I still don't know who, what, where, or how much.
I'm willing to get them made. Dont need any drama doing this for the forum, from the forum. I just want a chicken in every pot and buckets in every truck

re: bucket seat brackets
Depending on the final price, I'd be interested too. I'm not really into the low-back Mustang seats, but the high-back of the early-'70s Mustangs would look pretty cool in there and I would think would bolt right on.

re: bucket seat brackets
I'm not sure I'm understanding what the brackets include...I looked at the bottom of the buckets I have, and it looks like four corner bolts hold the entire seat frame, or perch, including the sliding adjusters, to the bottom of the seat cushion...Is that what you all mean by bucket seat brackets?...

re: bucket seat brackets
Hey Joe,
There are a number of threads with pics of these brackets. What you described is just the seat with sliders. You would be sitting too low and forward (no offset)

re: bucket seat brackets
Not sure what the offset is, Mickster...I'll have to search around for the pics here...I removed the seats myself from the floor of the Bronco which has a slightly different contour than the floor of my truck---so I was planning on cutting and using some spacers and so forth---I feel like I might not be understanding something, here...

re: bucket seat brackets
Front of seat is higher (aprox 2"ish). Considering a shorter version setup for larger buckets, in addition to original height set.

re: bucket seat brackets
I think all seats are supposed to tilt back slightly...I have a smaller Grant steering wheel in my truck which helps in the belly clearance department...I had a factory bench seat redone a few years ago on a '70 with a stock steering wheel, and they kinda overstuffed the seat a bit...I'm not that big a guy but I had very little clearance between the steering wheel and having the seat pushed back all the way to the gas tank...
I test fitted the Bronco setup that I now have, and with the gas tank behind the seat, and them being larger than the old Mustang type buckets I have to be pretty precise as to where I mount them so's I can drive it comfortably and the little woman can slide the seat forward and reach the pedals....
