I removed my heater core last night. I noticed my heater pull cable did not go through the firewall and to the heater hose and to a cut off. The cable was attached at the heater. The pictures I have seen show the cable going through the firewall.
I'm not saying I have anything special, I figured this was another one of those 67' only deals.
Thanks

Thanks 67Mann
I don't even know where the cable is supposed to come out of the firewall.

If you've got the economy heater setup, with just one pull cable, it doesn't go through the firewall. You have to pop the hood and manually move the valve. The deluxe heater setup on the '67s had three cables, with one going through the firewall to the water valve.

I figured the "Ranger" package would have the deluxe heater setup. Looks like the heater setups were an option. The only pull I have for the heater reads "Fan Off High Low" on the top and "Pull For Heat" on the bottom. If you look on page 29 of the 1967 Ford Operator's manual, I noticed the extra knobs under the radio. I do not have those. Looks like I have the economy set up.
For as long as I can remember, I have not seen a regulator on the hose under the hood. Must have been removed at one time or another. After reading the manual, I see what Keith is talking about. You have open the hood and turn the regulator by hand.
Thanks for clarifying.
