no one has found a replacement rubber floor mat that fits like ( or close to ) the original ?????

Call mac's antique auto parts. Look here in the link section. May be worth talking with them and asking if they have a custom fit mat. There listing offers mats with different hump height's. Also try green sales they may have a nos mat. Nos will cost you more if you can find one, but if you want perfect fit that may be your only option
