I rewired using the painless kit. Bought the LMC replacement switch. I have the remote flasher switch. The new switch had a note about a change to route the wires to the old harness, which I would think painless followed.
Painless has a plug with, BLY - WR - WBL - G ,, BL - RB - Y - GW
I don't know what goes to the WR, RB and Y
And the new switch has left over YB and G
The new switch has
BLY to the BLY
? to the WR
WBL to the WBL
RB to the G
BL to the BL
? to the RB
? to the Y
GW to the GW
YB to ?
G to ?

Re: Turn Sig Plug, New to Painless 1969 F100
Welcome to the site!
I wouldn't assume anything on the new switch matching Painless… New switches are good at having different color wires as these same switches will fit newer models (even different makes) and there colors and locations could be different then the older, but the switch will still work if you put the wires in the locations they noted…
What was the note with the new switch???
I have attached a diagram that shows both the 67-69 (on Top) and 70-72 (on Bottom) factory wire locations / colors and function.
Note that the Horn is the "Blue-Yellow stripped" wire.
This is what I found looking at the Painless Installation Manual for these wires...
Color - Gauge - Wire # - Wire Print - Wire Starting Point - Wire Ending Point
Grn/Wht - 18 - 926 - To Left Front Turn Signal - Left Front Turn Signal -Turn Signal Switch
Wht/Blu - 18 - 925 - To Right Front Turn Signal - Right Front Turn Signal - Turn Signal Switch
Red/Blk - 16 - 918 - To Brake Switch - Brake Switch Turn Switch
Grn - 16 - 948 - To Right Turn/Brake - Right Turn/Brake - Turn Signal Switch
Ylw - 16 - 949 - To Left Turn/Brake - Left Turn/Brake - Turn Signal Switch
Wht/Red - 16 - 951 - To Hazard Switch – Not On Column – Hazard Input Glove Box Hazard Switch - Hazard Flasher
BLY = Horn???
Also seen this in the Painless Manual...
Note: If using a Tachometer, notice the TACH signal wire is in the Turn Signal breakout of the harness.
There should only be 7 wires for the turn signals including the horn in the stock connector… so this 8th wire might be for the tach or it is as I note below for the WR wire...???
If the plug follows how you listed the colors.
BLY - WR - WBL - G
BL - RB - Y - GW
BLY to BLY this should be the horn
WR this should be the "Green - White" stripped location for the Left front turn/indicator, so I don't know what they have here… maybe the tach wire??? or it is the Hazard wire for the newer column like in a Dentside as they have the hazard switch in the column..
WBL to WBL for the Right front turn/dash indicator
G to Green for the Right Rear brake/turn
BL to BL power for Turn Signals from turn flasher
RB to RB for the brake lights
Y to Yellow - Black stripped wire for Left rear brake/turn
GW to GW for the Left Front turn/dash indicator, This should be empty and this color should be where the WR is, so don't know what they have going on here…
I don't know if this help any… you may have to do a little test light testing or call the painless helpline to get what the wire colors that aren't listed in the manual are...
If I can answer / help / or confuse more let me know.
