What year did they put Shoulder Belts in Ford Trucks?

my 68 cab has mounts above the seat in both corners. aren't those for shoulder belts?

Yes they are for shoulder belts, but they didn't come from the factory with the belts, just holes to mount them with. But very easy to install.

My fathers 76 doesnt have them but I think it has the holes for them.

While all '67-'72 cabs have provisions for shoulder belts, they weren't offered until 1969. Here's a picture of a '71 or '72 with factory shoulder belts:
All '73-up trucks had shoulder belts.
