Steering Column Fit??

Is there a difference btween a PS steering column and a non PS column on our bumps? Becasuue my dumba$$ destroyed my colum in my 70 and also do the plugs change over the years?

I know the nonPS column is longer then the PS column.

no the plugs are different in the years. i think the plug style is two plugs for 67-60 and one plug for 70-72. iirr

Yes, the column wiring did change, but only slightly. Though the connectors are different, the wires are the same.

You could either remove your existing turn signal switch and install it on the new column, or just remove the wires from the donor's connector and then install the wires in your existing connector.

You'll need this little tool kit (available at the local parts store) to release the tab retainers for each wire in the connector, so you can remove them and install them in the new connector.

Also, as mentioned, the power steering columns are several inches shorter than manual steering columns.
