67 wiring is very different than 72. You could switch it but you would need to change everything like the instruments, ignition switch, turn signal switch etc... There were a lot of changes. It would be easier to just find a 67 harness. Thay are common enough but it is a one year only item. I may have a complete cab harness if you really need one. Hawkrod

The 67 wire harness is not interchangeable with the other years of the trucks... 67 is kind of a one year off of the bumps in a lot of ways...
There are lots of differences on the harness to a 72; ignition switch, instrument cluster, and turn signal switch are just a couple...(like Hawkrod said)
If you’re looking for a replacement harness check the parts for sale section, ezernut9mm had one for sale there a while back might check it out.

i was able to swap one from a 69 but the only thing i had to change was the ignition switch. and i had no way to get power to the heater fan cable switch. i finally found a 67 harness. and i am going to swap it back as soon as i get a chance.

Yes they are go look at a 66 though/ I pulled my 62-1/2 F100 harness for a 67 F100 ad it was real close except no rubber boots. Wiring code was the same.

i think shanye was refering t o the 67-72 harnesses only. since the poster had asked about using a 72 harness. so maybe a 66 harness would work also. thats good to hear.

:yt: was only referring to the Bump side trucks... I haven't worked on a Slick side yet... although I will be helping my best friend with a 66 he got to fix up for one of his daughters... I'll check it out this spring when we get rolling on it, and this is some good info to know. :)
